The Giardini String Quartet is a professional, London-based string ensemble specialising in providing music for corporate entertainment.

The Quartet was formed more than a decade ago by freelance players in London, and was resident for three years in the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Flexibility is the Giardini's keynote. The two violins, viola and cello are often augmented by either oboe or flute, and more occasionally by piano and double bass. Their range of music is exhaustive, ranging from well-known classical works to jazzy light numbers, from Viennese waltzes to Hungarian violin showpieces, from Purcell and Mozart to ragtime and The Beatles.

We have provided specialist evenings for various clients, such as Georgian, Edwardian and Dickens-themed events. At the Royal Academy of Arts we performed Debussy and Ravel to accompany Monet, as well as Shostakovich for the opening of a Russian art exhibition.
